"Tah dah!!!
Quartzsite has a new animal shelter!!!"

Welcome to www.willpowerinc.org, the official Web site for Willpower Incorporated in Quartzsite.

Willpower Inc. is a non-profit organization in Quartzsite, Arizona, created to support culture - fine arts, education and the humanities - for children, adults and seniors; and to support prevention of cruelty to children and animals.

Paw Power Animal Sanctuary and QAC, the Quartzsite Activity Center, are Willpower projects.

Quartzsite's new animal shelter is on Arizona Hwy 95 just north of Quartzsite at the water treatment facility. Look for the cell phone tower on the west side of the road. There are several very lovable dogs ready to adopt!
If you find a stray pet or have lost a furry friend, please contact us!

Quartzsite has the largest seasonal population fluctuation on Earth. About 3,500 folks call this place home, and millions of RV-driving snowbirds flock here to enjoy our sunny, mild winters and inexpensive, laid-back lifestyle.

Most visitors bring at least one pet with them and, sadly, sometimes these pets are lost. Wandering loose in unfamiliar territory, pets can quickly become coyote fodder. This, in turn, becomes a public safety hazard when hungry wild coyotes sneak into town seeking an easy domestic meal.

Even if a pet is lucky enough to be found, it is sent to the county animal control facility - where it may be euthanized (put to death) if not claimed quickly. This has to stop!

Shop, save and support:

Check out Quartzsite's awesome Animal Refuge Thrift Shop at 455 E. Main Street at Patties RV Park. Owner Leigh Simmons welcomes your gently used items and donates sales profits to Paw Power. Leigh's number is (951) 764-6072.

Please e-mail or call for more information, or to join us! Meetings are at the Quartzsite Public Library, 465 N. Plymouth at 5 p.m. on the first Monday of every month.
